Data Policy

This tool is herein collectively referred to as KLU Career Support Point. By registering with KLU Career Support Point, you consent to allowing the data in your support tickets and CV to be accessed and used in the following ways:

• Career Services or our subcontracted reviewers and coaches may read your support tickets, including file attachments therein, and your CV data in order to give you feedback, to prepare for a meeting with you, or to check if an opportunity that we have learned of might benefit you.
• Career Services or our subcontracted reviewers and coaches may read and use the contact information in your CV to contact you directly about support matters, such as a CV review or consultation. We will not use your contact information for any other purpose, unless we receive permission from you beforehand.
• Career Services and KLU may use your CV data to make reports. Such reports typically include aggregated data about the occupations and fields that our students and alumni work in. Reports do not typically include personal information such as names or contact information.
• Career Services’ development partner will store your support ticket and CV data on file servers owned by its hosting provider. Our development partner may read your data during the process of maintaining or enhancing the functionality of KLU Career Support Point and CV Book.
• The aforementioned development partner and hosting provider cooperate with Career Services and KLU under contracts that are compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union & European Economic Area.
• If you choose to include your CV in CV Book, your CV data will be visible to the public on KLU’s website. However, your CV in CV Book will not include the following data:
  • Your postal address
  • Your email address(es)
  • Your network link(s)
  • Your mobile telephone number
  • Your birth date
  • Your native city and native country
• If you give Career Services permission, we may send your contact information – typically, your email address – to employers that have enquired with us about you after seeing your CV in CV Book.

In either of the below cases, your KLU Career Support Point account and your CV data will be permanently deleted from KLU Career Support Point file servers. After your account is deleted, Career Services may, at its discretion, deny you permission to register again with KLU Career Support Point in the future.

• At any time, you may request that your KLU Career Support Point account and your CV data be deleted.
  To delete your account, send an email request to Career Services at: recruit@klu.org
• Career Services may, if it determines that there is just cause, unilaterally delete your KLU Career Support Point account without your request, permission, or knowledge. Just cause includes, but is not limited to, ex-matriculation from KLU without graduation; failure to respond to CV editorial requests that Career Services considers reasonable; or abuse of KLU Career Support Point or CV Book.
